There were three points I considered when choosing academic work for this collection.

First and foremost, I had to feel a sense of personal pride and accomplishment regarding the work in question. After all, what would be the point of highlighting something I didn't think was special?

Next, each piece had to address at least one of 
the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) core competencies. This is a requirement of the capstone and honestly, also just helped when it came to organization.

Lastly, I wanted to ensure that there was diversity in the types of work I included. This meant choosing a variety of essays, memos, presentations, and other types of academic work.​
